A new dating show starring eligible gay men is set to arrive to Logo.Finding Prince Charming will be much like ABC's The Bachelor with one man being able to chose from 13 suitors.As a young boy, Bass developed an interest in space, and at age 9 traveled to Cape Canaveral, Florida, with his father to watch his first live space shuttle launch.Of this experience Bass said, "I was certain from then on that my future was to be involved with space." the youngest child of former longtime Mississippi Insurance Commissioner George Dale.The show, hosted by former 'NSYNC member Lance Bass, is currently in production and will premiere this fall."Finding Prince Charming" will feature a cast of 13 suitors living in the same house and vying for the affections of the "nation's most eligible gay heartthrob." They will be eliminated one-by-one over the course of the season until the finale, during which the man in question will pick a winner to "commit to an exclusive relationship," according to the network."Logo has a long history of showcasing LGBTQ-focused stories with memorable characters that transcend pop culture," Logo's Pamela Post said in a statement."'Finding Prince Charming' will take viewers on a whirlwind journey through modern love and relationships in a way that only Logo can do."Reality dating shows have had minimal dealings with the LGBT community, with only Bravo dipping its toes in the water in 2003 with the controversial "Boy Meets Boy," which featured an unwitting gay bachelor selecting a suitor from a crop that included several straight men pretending to be gay in the hopes of winning prize money.
